Metro seeks community input on traffic-management plans around Portland, region

Want to have your say on how Metro will spend federal funds on transportation planning between 2024 and 2027? March is the month to do so.

Metro is the regional government serving the urban portions of Multnomah, Washington and Clackamas counties. Its responsibilities are as diverse as transportation planning, solid waste management and operating The Oregon Zoo.

The Metropolitan Transportation Improvement Plan is in the process of being amended. The new plan calls for an upgrade to traffic signal systems at intersections throughout all three counties to allow for coordinated signal timing.

Residents who wish to offer input have until 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, to do so. People can share their views here .
