Lived well, laughed often and loved so very much. - Marilyn Aileen Cash Haymond, passed away unexpectedly on January 18, 2024 in Portland, Oregon at the age of 85. She was greatly loved by her partner Ralph Coleman of 30 years, her two daughters, Diane Bohr (Terry Bohr) and Linda Thompson (James Thompson), stepchildren Laura Coleman Waite (Ian Waite) and Matt Coleman (Caitie Coleman), and brother Dwight Cash (Paula Cash). She was an aunt, sister-in-law and friend to many. The loves of her life were her 13 grandchildren (Austin, Spencer, Hunter, Cody, Brandon, Sarah, Annika, Poppy, Fiona, Ceci, Meagan, Elizabeth and Lee); and her most special 7 great-granddaughters (Leila, Nora, Aria, Emilia, Esmae, Elysia and Ensley).

Marilyn led a fun-filled, full-of-love life! She was born in Des Moines, Iowa and her parents moved to Portland, Oregon when she was young. Marilyn attended Franklin High School and one year at Lewis & Clark, and then worked at Lewis & Clark. She always loved to dance, starting with the Billings Dance Studio. She was never one to keep still as she enjoyed her many volunteer organizations such as Junior Assistance League and P.E.O. She led her daughters’ Brownie and 4-H groups. Marilyn loved being around people and was part of a wine group, golf group, bridge, bowling league, investment group and a flower business to name a few! Not only did she get her AA at Portland Community College, but she also worked in the counseling office for 15 years. Not one to sit, Marilyn traveled all over the United States including Hawaii many times and Alaska as well as Hong Kong, Germany, France (Paris being her favorite trip) and Italy, always returning home to the Portland area. She was a huge fan of the Portland Trailblazers and soccer. Marilyn was an avid cook, walker, reader, loved to sew and knit, puzzler, and quilter.

She had a positive spirit and infectious smile, and you always felt her love when you were around her. Celebrate everything, love deeply. Marilyn, you are so loved. We will treasure you in our hearts forever…

Please join the family for Marilyn’s Celebration of Life Saturday April 6, 2024; 2-4pm, King City Clubhouse Banquet Room 15245 SW 116th Ave, King City, OR 97224.
