    $2.3 million HVAC upgrade in Portland building permits | April 29, 2024

    A weekly list of the most notable commercial building and facility permits issued and received in Portland by the Bureau of Development Services in the prior week.

    Building Permits Issued:



    $1,500,000

    Address: 4035 S.E. 82nd Ave.

    Applicant: Brian Hoeft of Scott Edwards Architecture

    Owner: Meals on Wheels People

    Contractor: Halbert Construction Services of Vancouver, Washington



    Plans call for an interior remodel of Building B to provide new offices, a wellness room, a break room, storage rooms and mothers’ room/?bathroom. Work will include removing and replacing a 20-foot section of the south wall for three windows, as well as a seismic retrofit of Building A/B.

    Address: Portland International Airport, at 7000 N.E. Airport Way

    Applicant: Chad Charvat of Faster Permits

    Owner: Port of Portland

    Contractor: Hoffman Skanska LLC of Parsippany, New Jersey



    Plans call for installation of piping support for the mechanical piping in the boiler room in sector 31.

    Plans call for expanding capacity of an existing temporary outdoor shelter, upgrading sleeping pods, changing the layout, relocating existing kitchen connections, installing new kitchen connections and bathroom connections, and performing associated site utility work. All development and alterations will be temporary.

    UNDER INSPECTION

    Applicant: Mike Coyle of Faster Permits

    Owner: Portland Community College District

    Contractor: Scott Erickson (Piper Mechanical of Vancouver, Washington)

    Plans call for an HVAC upgrade on all floors. Work will involve installing condensing units on the rooftop as well as fan coil units, split system fan coil units, ductwork, diffusers, grilles, piping and electrical on all floors.

    Applicant: Denise Neu of the University of Portland

    Owner: University of Portland

    Contractor: Apollo Sheet Metal of Kennewick, Washington

    A tenant improvement will involve an HVAC upgrade on all floors. The work will include installing ductwork, grilles, air cooled chillers, pumps, dirt and air separators, a fan coil unit, a condensing unit, a storage tank, piping and electrical.




    Facility Permit Intakes:



    None received for any project with a value of $500,000 or greater.
