The Cambria Hotel project team requests permission to install wall-mounted channel letter type signs stating “Cambria” on the top parapet of the building’s north and east elevations. The letters would be aluminum, with sidewalls and backs, and white plastic faces. Illumination would come from interior-mounted, energy efficient LED modules.

Discussion is sought on revisions to an approved multi-dwelling residential project. The site would be expanded and the floor area would increase from 240,000 square feet to approximately 480,000 square feet for 450 dwelling units. The revised design calls for a shared platform with a five-story building and a 21-story tower. Vehicle parking would be within an enclosed garage accessed from Irving Street. A pre-application conference is requested to preserve the option for a hearing with the Design Commission should the applicant apply for a type III design review.

Plans call for construction of a five-story, 40-unit multifamily building with a main-floor lobby, a mail area, and tenant amenity space. The building would be four stories on the main entry side along Nebraska Street, with an additional three units below the main entry grade that faces Bertha Boulevard. Stormwater would be handled via a lined planter.
