Dovetail Workwear uses Cone Denim’s rainbow selvedge denim in its new limited edition Pride collection.

The Portland, Ore.-based women’s workwear brand unveiled the Shop Pant, a jean made with Cone’s red cast denim with a rainbow-striped selvedge line. Woven on traditional shuttle looms, Dovetail says the selvedge fabric has “just the right amount of slub and weave character.”

The fabric is part of Cone Community Collection , designed to raise awareness and money for specific causes. Cone donates a portion of proceeds from the sale of its Pride fabric to the HRC Human Rights Campaign whose work focuses on achieving equality for the LGBTQ Community. Other Cone Community fabrics support breast cancer research, water conservation and mental health awareness.

Only 250 pairs of Dovetail’s Pride Shop Pant are available. The jean retails for $159.

Complementing the pants is the Pocket Pride Bandana, designed by renowned artist and activist Lisa Congdon. The bandana’s energetic colors and illustrations pay homage to the Progress Pride flag, developed in 2018 by non-binary American artist Daniel Quasar, to celebrate diversity and call for a more inclusive society.

A portion of the proceeds from bandana sales will be donated to Brave Trails, a summer camp in California and New York for LGBTQ+ teens. Bandana retail for $25.

“The Pride Shop pant is not about a marketing event in the month of June. It’s about a beautiful partnership of craft material and the real-deal concept of acceptance and equity, expression and creativity, however you want to show it,” said Sara DeLuca , Dovetail Workwear’s co-founder and director of product development.
