According to a recent permit filing, Victorico’s plans to expand with a new location in Camas at 180 NE 192nd Avenue.

A representative of Victorico’s was not immediately available to comment upon What Now Portland’s request.

While an official opening date has yet to be confirmed, according to Victorico’s website , Victorico’s currently has over ten locations spread throughout Oregon and Washington.

“Our customers are the reason for our existence. We demonstrate our appreciation by providing them with authentic quality food and superior service in a clean, welcoming environment, at a great value,” the company website adds.

According to an article from the Statesman Journal written in 2019, “Ivan Orozco and Victor Sanchez started washing dishes in their family’s restaurants as soon as they were old enough. The cousins grew up in a family that collectively owns seven Muchas Gracias Mexican Food restaurant locations throughout Oregon and Washington.”

“Their goal for Victorico’s, named for their grandfather and a family patriarch (Sanchez is Victor Sanchez the fourth, his son the fifth), is to offer authentic Mexican flavors and preparations, but do so in an efficient, quick-service format. Asked what that means to them they throw out a collection of ideas: homey, authentic, friendly, and scratch-cooking.”

“What does that look like in practice? A menu of burritos, tacos, tortas, and combination meals that has lots of variety, but isn’t overwhelming. It’s not the stripped-down pick-your-dish, pick-your-protein model of Chipotle and Qdoba, and nor is it the entirely fast-foodified version of Mexican food peddled by giants like Taco Bell.”
