Kroger-Albertsons has released a list of stores in the Portland metro area that they expect to sell to a New Hampshire-based chain, C&S Wholesale Grocers, as part of a nationwide, $2.9 billion deal.

The Kroger chain includes Safeway, Albertson and QFC.

The change is happening across the country. Locally, stores to change ownership are in Portland and many of its suburbs.

Bloomberg news reports that the divestiture comes ahead of a trial in August. The U.S. Federal Trade Commission sued to block the $24.6 billion merger in February. According to Bloomberg, it is not yet known if the sell-off would satisfy regulators.

Media are reporting that grocers have started notifying workers at affected locations.

Kroger-Albertsons has released a full list of sites that are part of the transfer.

In total, 21 Albertsons, QFCs and Safeway stores will change hands in Portland.

Other stores in the deal are located in Aloha, Beaverton, Canby, Clackamas, Damascus, Forest Grove, Gladstone, Gresham, Hillsboro, Milwaukie, Newberg, Oregon City, St. Helens, Sandy, Sherwood, Troutdale, West Linn and Wilsonville.

Kroger-Albertsons had announced the plan to divest 579 of their stores C&S back in April, according to KOIN 6 News . However, the specific stores that would be sold off were not confirmed by the companies until Tuesday, July 9, as The Oregonian/OregonLive first reported.
