    Where to celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride in Portland this weekend

    PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — Although June is official Pride Month, Portland’s major Pride festivities are happening in July for the second year.

    With events scheduled all throughout the city, here are some of the top celebrations to look forward to.

    Team behind Portland’s Dolly Olive opens Mediterranean bar in neighboring space

    D.E.B.S. with DJ Chelsea Starr

    When: Friday, July 19 at 7 p.m.
    Where: Tomorrow Theater, 3530 SE Division St, Portland, OR 97202

    PAM CUT’s Tomorrow Theater is “kicking off the weekend with ‘D.E.B.S.,’ the fun, lesbian spy-school story well deserving of its cult status on it’s 20th anniversary.” The event will open with a DJ set from Chelsea Starr.

    Rainbow Moon Silent Disco

    When: Friday, July 19 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
    Where: Leach Botanical Garden, 6704 SE 122nd Ave, Portland, OR 97236

    For the first time, Leach Botanical Garden will host a Pride silent disco in which attendees will dance along to tunes courtesy of Jess the Ripper. Event organizers are offering a 25% discount to those who buy a ticket using code “SUM24.”

    BETTY – a queer brunch – PRIDE EDITION

    When: Saturday, July 20 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
    Where: Dots Cafe, 2521 SE Clinton St, Portland, OR 97202

    The organizers of Betty, a “queer dance party,” are throwing their inaugural Pride brunch at the Clinton neighborhood’s Dots Cafe. Party-goers can expect DJs, mimosas and several drag performances.

    Freeland Spirits Pride Party

    When: Saturday, July 20 from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.
    Where: Freeland Spirits, 2671 NW Vaughn St, Portland, OR 97210

    Woman-owned-and-operated distillery Freeland Spirits’ is gearing up for its “biggest party ever”. The free event will consist of tarot card readings, rainbow cocktails and even a mechanical unicorn. A portion of proceeds will go toward Basic Rights Oregon.

    Portland Pri de Waterfront Festival and Parade

    When: Saturday, July 20 through Sunday, July 21
    Where: Tom McCall Waterfront Park, 98 SW Naito Pkwy, Portland, OR 97204

    Pride Northwest’s annual celebration will take over the waterfront for two days. With this year’s theme of “Feast & Love,” festival organizers encourage people “to come together as a community, as a family, and create a new chapter in our story.”

    The Sports Bra’s Pride Block Party

    When: Sunday, July 21 from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m.
    Where: The Sports Bra, 2512 NE Broadway, Portland, OR 97232

    All ages are welcome to The Sports Bra’s third annual pride Block Party. Festivities include live DJs, performances, food carts and cocktails. About 5% of proceeds will benefit the Portland Community Football Club.

    The Sea Sickening Boat Pride

    When: Sunday, July 21 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
    Where: Portland Spirit, 1010 SW Naito Pkwy., Portland, OR 97204

    The Portland Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence will serve as cruise directors for this 21+ “Boat pRide.” Poision Waters will headline the drag performances, with other appearances from Ursabomb, Valerie DeVille and more.
