TravisMathew, an upscale men’s and women’s lifestyle store from Huntington Beach, California, opened its first Oregon store in Washington Square mall on Monday, July 22.

Founded in 2007, the store distinguishes itself as drawing inspiration from “laid-back living and the idea that comfort and style should always go hand in hand.”

The opening marks the 54th brick-and-mortar store for the company, which offers dress-up, dress-down and active-wear styles of clothing.

“We are really excited to open our first store in Oregon,” TravisMathew CEO Ryan Ellis stated in new release. “The city of Portland is an incredible new market for our brand and we have seen great success in this market through one of our top retail partners in Nordstrom. We have expanded our line for all seasons including depth in fleece, outerwear and pants and feel ready to introduce the Pacific Northwest to our product and brand.”

As Washington Square Mall celebrates its 50th anniversary, officials announced in April the opening of five new stores. Those include:

Moleskine — A stand-alone kiosk is now open, offering notebooks, journals, luggage and more.

GARAGE — The only GARAGE location in Oregon, the store opened in June and offers contemporary and denim-centric fashion.

Cotton On Body — With plans to open in August, this Australian-based store offers activewear, intimates and swimwear. It joins Cotton On’s main store, which has been at the mall since 2022.

Arc’teryx — The company’s largest store in Oregon will offer outdoor and activewear when it opens in October.

Gen Korean BBQ — Also opening in October, Gen Korean BBQ will offer freshly prepared meats, seafood and vegetables, along with traditional Korean ban-chan in its only Oregon location.
