After serving as Tom Cruise's wingman in "Top Gun: Maverick," and chasing down tornados in "Twisters," actor Glen Powell is suiting up for the Oregon Ducks.

Staring in a new series for Hulu entitled "Chad Powers," Powell plays former Oregon quarterback Russ Holliday — who after having his college career ruined due to bad behavior assumes the alias of Chad Powers to walk-on at a, 'struggling Southern football team,' according to the show's synopsis .

Powell was photographed on the set of the show suiting up for Oregon and donning the No. 13 while taking on the Georgia Bulldogs.

The series was ordered by Hulu in early 2024 and is based on the success of an episode of former New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning's ESPN+ series 'Eli's Places.' Manning's character took the same name, going undercover to walk-on at Penn State University. Manning's origina l has garnered over 16 million views on YouTube to date.

Powell not only stars in the series, but also serves as a co-creator, writer and executive producer.

Michael Waldron also serves as a co-writer, having previously written for the TV series "Community," the Marvel film "Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness," and winning a Prime Time Emmy for the animated series "Rick and Morty," which he both wrote and produced.

Eli and brother Peyton Manning also serve as executive producers on the show.

The series reportedly began filming in August of 2024 and will likely be released at some point during 2025.
