Happy 'Howloween': Oregon Zoo readies treats for guests

Who else is howling for Halloween to hurry up and get here?

For those who can relate, the Oregon Zoo is ready to start the festivities with its annual Howloween celebration on Oct. 19-20 and 26-27.

Kids can show off their costumes, fill treat bags and learn about wildlife in a fun, safe setting. Live entertainment will be both weekends. Visitors can enter a costume contest, pose with spooky animal X-ray photo ops and try to guess the weight of an extra-large pumpkin.

Activities are free with zoo admission, all of the candy is made with deforestation-free palm oil .
