PORTSMOUTH - The Portsmouth High School softball team, in its final regular-season home game, honored its five seniors before Thursday's 5-1 Division I loss to Bishop Guertin.
The Clippers honored Brigid Cadle, Abby Nersesian, Abby Sargent, Evy Douglass and Abby Bethroade. Nersesian then blasted a solo homer in the seventh for Portsmouth's lone run.
Addison Carroll had three of Portsmouth's eight hits, while Nersesian and Sargent both had two, and Laura Milks one.
SOFTBALL

Franklin 4
FRANKLIN - Kierra Souphakhot struck out 22 and allowed three hits and over seven innings, leading Newmarket to this Division IV win.
Emma Surina had a two-run homer and Mariza Zygouri had a three-run single for the Mules. Jaydnn Radja had four RBIs, Souphakhot scored three runs, and Hannah Chelsey, Paige Sweitzer, and Surina all scored two.
BASEBALL

Marshwood 0
KENNEBUNK, Maine - The Rams scored both their runs in the third inning and earned this Class A South win.
Charlie Hudson had two hits for Marshwood (9-4), while Liam Tiernann, Tyler Hussey, Ronan Garrett and Michael Sbrizza all had one.
Marshwood's Gus Alexander struck out three and allowed three hits and no earned runs over six innings.

Somersworth 5
BERLIN - The hosts scored all six of their runs in the final three innings, walking off with this Division III win.
Somersworth's Jack Rossiter struck out seven and allowed nine hits and one earned run over 6 1/3 innings.
Simon Grandmaison had two hits for the Hilltoppers, while Rossiter, Camden Pettengill, Logan Perreault, and Carter Morgan all had one. Defensively, Jackson Dumont shined at catcher in the loss.

CONCORD - Kian Littlefield struck out 10 over five innings, and Grady Howe fanned five in the final two innings as Portsmouth Christian Academy improved to 10-3 with this Division IV win.
Ike Kohl and Mika Allaire both had three hits for the Eagles.

ROCHESTER - Rachel Baughman's six goals led Spaulding in its Division II loss. Armani Ragas added two goals for the Red Raiders, while Molli Gould and Kate McCawley both had one.
Spaulding goalie Izzy Orrell had 20 saves.

WELLS, Maine - Keira Alessi had two goals and Keira Durgin had one for Traip in this Class C loss. Traip goalie Charlotte Masse had five saves.

DOVER - Tory Vitko (No. 1, 8-1), Paige Wilson (No. 2, 8-0), Kate Ross (No. 3, 8-1), Ashlynn Swierk (No. 4, 8-0), Sarah Bastille (No. 5, 8-0) and Kim Tarr (No. 6, 8-0) all won in singles for Dover (11-2) in this Division I match.
In doubles, Vitko and Wilson won 8-0 at No. 1, Swierk and Alanna Bonneau won 8-0 at No. 2, and Bastille and Avery Mourgenos won 8-4 at No. 3.

PORTSMOUTH - Clea Gibson (No. 2, 9-8), Kathryn Dumont (No. 3, 8-0), Sofia Karageorges (No. 4, 8-2) and Jessica Li (No. 5, 8-1) all won in singles for Oyster River in this Division II clash.
In doubles, Demarest and Karageorges won 8-4 at No. 2, and Li and Megan Zehetner won 8-2 at No. 3.
For Portsmouth, Sophia Jundi won 8-5 at No. 1 singles, and Anna Syphers won 8-6 at No. 6. Jundi and Avery Porter won 8-4 at No. 1 doubles.

HAMPTON - Stella Sebeny (No. 1, 8-0), Mia Botnick (No. 2, 8-0), Amelia Dumont (No. 3, 8-2), Ava Sebeny (No. 4, 8-1), Mazie Snell (No. 6, 8-2) all won in singles for Winnacunnet (12-2) in this Division II match.
In doubles, Stella Sebeny and Botnick won 8-0 at No. 1, and Dumont and Ava Sebeny (No. 2, 8-4).

PORTLAND, Maine - Iva Landry (No. 2, 6-1, 6-2) and Evie Jones (No. 3, 7-6, 6-2) both won in singles action for Marshwood in a Class A South match.

PORTSMOUTH - Ava Brunelle and Elliot Blenkinsop both had three goals, and Molly Malinowski each had two goals and two assists for Portsmouth.
Brooklyn Wilt also scored for the Clippers, while Alex Brandt had an assist, and goalie Caroline Berling had eight saves.
