    Monday roundup: STA girls lax remains undefeated, Exeter baseball duo combine on no-hitter

    DOVER - Kensley Harris scored four goals and the St. Thomas Aquinas girls lacrosse team won its 13th straight game with an 18-2 victory over Plymouth on Monday in a Division III game.

    Charlotte De Tolla, Lizzy Holden, Kat Dornan and Megan Leahy all had three goals for the Saints, and Dornan reached the 100-point milestone in the win. STA goalie Brea Baker had six saves, while Grace Talbot and Juliana Grella both played well.

    GIRLS LACROSSE

    Portsmouth 17

    Concord 6

    CONCORD - Annie Parker had five goals and one assist, and Ginger Vinciguerra had three goals and one assist for Portsmouth (11-2) in this Division I win.

    Ella Souza and Hailey Stallkamp both had two goals for the Clippers, while Morgan Ruhnke, Emery Lawton, Jillian Richmond, Georgia Bouvier and Reagan Lawton all had one.

    Lawton added two assists for the Clippers, while Addie Delisle and Anya Bake both had one. Sage Bussiere (three) and Maggie Conklin (one) combined on four saves.

    Winnacunnet 13

    Hollis/Brookline 5

    HAMPTON - Elle Emery had seven goals and McKinley Fowler had two goals and one assist as Winnacunnet (14-1) picked up its ninth straight Division II win. Sky Mace had a goal and assist for the Warriors, while Emmy Granger and Isla Christie both had a goal.

    WHS goalie Cadence Oleniak had five saves.

    PENACOOK - Grace Royal scored five goals for Oyster River (7-7) in this Division II loss. Hannah Dunbar had a goal for the Bobcats, while goalie Eliza Farwell had 10 saves.

    Nashua South 15

    Exeter 8

    NASHUA - Ellie Dean scored three goals, Sophia Wilhelm had two, and Karli Scherpf (assist), Phoebe Christenson and Izzy Steiner all had one for Exeter (9-7) in this Division I loss.

    Exeter goalie Lilyan Blood had two saves.

    SOFTBALL

    Winnacunnet 6

    Nashua South 0

    HAMPTON -- Lucy Gelbstein (two runs, RBI) and Arden Langmaid (run) each had two hits, and Maeva Shapiro (one hit) drove in two for Winnacunnet (14-2) in Division I action.

    Lily Snow (RBI, run), Fenway Schouller (RBI), Joslyn Snow, Chloe Cunningham (run) and Halisa Carter (run) each had a hit for Winnacunnet. Cunningham also went five innings and struck out four after Maddy Eaton went two innings and fanned two.

    Marshwood 2

    SOUTH BERWICK, Maine - Piper Catanese (run) and Emily Hester (RBI) each had a hit for Marshwood (7-7) in this Class A South loss.

    Marshwood starter Zoe Noonan went seven innings, allowing eight runs (three earned) on eight hits.

    MANCHESTER - Annie Christiana picked up the 150th hit of her career, walked, had two RBIs and two scored two runs for Exeter (13-3) in this Division I win.

    Kristen Bickford (two runs, RBI) and Avery Allard (two runs) both had two hits for the Blue Hawks, while Summer LeClerc (three walks, two runs, RBI), Mykenna Whittier (two runs, two RBIs), Dejah Rondeau (three RBIs), Nev Haugh (two RBIs) and Emmie Davis (RBIs) all had one hit.

    York 10

    Freeport 0

    YORK, Maine - McKayla Kortes struck out 10 and tossed a one-hit six-inning shutout, leading York (13-0) to this Class B South victory.

    Sarah Orso had three hits and three RBIs for the Wildcats, while Ella Hickey and Nya Avery both had two hits and two RBIs.

    St. Thomas Aquinas 13

    BRISTOL - Elizabeth Pelletier had two hits, including a home run, two RBIs and scored two runs for St. Thomas (14-1) in this Division III win.

    Amelia Anderson added three hits and three RBIs for the Saints, and Emma Toriello homered and drove in four. Sammie Neal had two hits and scored twice for the Saints, and Alaina Bolduc had a hit, three RBIs and scored a run.

    Newmarket 3

    Epping 1

    NEWMARKET - Kierra Souphakhot struck out 15, allowed one run on two hits across seven innings and led Newmarket (13-2) to a Division IV win.

    Hannah Chesley singled and scored a run, while Souphakhot had a double and scored twice. Paige Swietzer, Anika Benson and Jadynn Rajda all had a hit for the Mules

    BASEBALL

    Winnacunnet 4

    Nashua South 2

    NASHUA - Jones Vicinus struck out 10 over seven innings, allowing two unearned runs and two hits to lead Winnacunnet (11-7) to a Division I win at Holman Stadium.

    The Warriors scored three runs in the sixth. Alex Santora's sacrifice fly to left scored Connor Fowler with the game-tying run, a Zach Conlon bases-loaded walk scored Jackson Larck with the go-ahead run, and Brady Thompson's suicide squeeze scored Miles Pratt.

    Freshman Bryce Pinsonnault scored a run in the third on a Fowler groundout, cutting the South lead to 2-1. South scored two unearned runs in the second.

    Exeter 3

    Manchester Central 1

    EXETER - Senior Cam Keaveney struck out 13 and didn't allow hit over six innings and Evan Louie threw a hitless seventh, combining on a no-hitter. Exeter improved to 16-1 with its 13th straight win.

    Mike Caron had two hits and two RBIs for the Blue Hawks, while Miles Murray had two hits and a run.

    Bishop Brady 5

    Somersworth 2

    SOMERSWORTH - Eric Goodrich pitched five innings in relief, allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits and struck out two for Somersworth (3-10) in this Division III loss.

    Logan Perreault had two doubles for the Hilltoppers, while Will Sneddon and Kaden Bickford both had two hits and Simon Grandmaison had a hit and an RBI.

    Traip Academy 8

    Buckfield 1

    KITTERY, Maine - Alec Webster went six innings, allowed one earned run on four hits, and struck out four for Traip (7-6) in a Class C South win.

    Webster also had two hits and an RBI, while Jack Downs had two hits and three RBIs for the Rangers. Teammates Sean Webster (two hits) and Colby Christiansen (hit, three runs, two RBIs) starred.

    Portsmouth Christian Academy 2

    DOVER - Ike Kohl had two hits for PCA (11-4) in this Division IV loss.

    Concord 13

    ROCHESTER - Wesley Alfonso had a three-run double, and Trevor Cormier had two hits, scored three runs, and stole two bases for Spaulding in a Division I loss.

    Epping 6

    Newmarket 3

    EPPING - John Schlieder gave up five hits, struck out five and just one earned run over six innings in this Division IV loss for Newmarket (13-2).

    Cam Moran had two hits and one RBI for the Mules, while Matt Napoletano, Parker Sweitzer and Rian Fabrizio all had one hit.

    VOLLEYBALL

    Winnacunnet 3

    John Stark 0

    WEARE - Bryce Molnar reached 1,000 career assists as Winnacunnet improved to 8-4 with this Division I win.

    Individual set scores were 25-15, 25-19, 25-20.

    Molnar had 11 assists and one kill in the game, while Tyler Blank had 15 assists, two aces and one kill, and Murphy Wall had five kills and two aces.
