    Wednesday Seacoast Roundup: Winnacunnet, St. Thomas Aquinas see players reach milestones

    HAMPTON - Murphy Wall had eight kills, three aces and two blocks as the Winnacunnet High School volleyball team beat Bishop Guertin, 3-0 on Wednesday in a Division I contest.

    Individual set scores were 25-15, 25-13, 25-14.

    Before the game, the Warriors recognized senior Bryce Molnar who became the first player in school history to reach 1,000 career assists. Molnar reached the milestone in last Friday's win over Goffstown.

    GIRLS LACROSSE

    Portsmouth 18

    Dover 5

    PORTSMOUTH - Annie Parker had five goals and one assist, and Morgan Ruhnke had four goals for Portsmouth in a Division I win.

    Anya Bake added two goals and two assists for the Clippers, while Lily Patterson had two goals, and Ginger Vinciguerra, Addie Delisle and Georgia Bouvier all had one goal and one assist.

    Lexi Stanley (goal), Emery Lawton (goal), Ella Souza (two assists), Hailey Stallkamp (assist) and Jillian Richmond (assist) all figured in the scoring for the Clippers, who got 10 saves from goalie Sage Bussiere.

    Winnacunnet 16

    HAMPTON - Freshman McKinley Fowler had four goals, and Elle Emery had three as Winnacunnet won this Division II game.

    Shea Graham had two goals and one assist for the Warriors, while Sky Mace had two goals, and Clara Nardone, Tegan Rooney, Maggie Maloney, Molly Houlihan and Taylor Burness all had one.

    Naomi Brake, on an assist from Kate McCawley, scored for Spaulding, which got 11 saves from goalie Izzy Orrell.

    St. Thomas Aquinas 27

    Trinity 10

    MANCHESTER - Charlotte De Tolla had six goals, including the 100th of her career, for St. Thomas in its Division II win.

    Megan Leahy added five goals for the Saints, while Kensley Harris and Kat Dornan both had three. Cat Vetter added two goals in the win, and Reece Anderson, Grace Talbot and Annita Parmelee each had one.

    Goalie Brea Barker had eight saves, and Juliana Grella and Maddie McMahon starred defensively.

    Goffstown 17

    Oyster River 4

    GOFFSTOWN - Grace Royal had two goals, including the 100th of her career, and Hannah Dunbar and Eliza Farwell each had one for Oyster River in this Division II loss.

    Farwell had seven saves in the first half, and Sydney Haines had five in the second half for the Bobcats.

    Traip Academy 10

    Fryeburg Academy 6

    FRYEBURG, Maine - Jacey Johnson had four goals and Sam Latchaw, Elivia Mandani, Keira Alessi, Shea Johnson, Maddy Rohan, and Keirs Durgin all had one for Traip in this Class C game.

    Traip goalie Charlotte Masse had 12 saves.

    Exeter 17

    EXETER - Karli Scherpf had six goals and one assist, reaching the 100-point milestone and leading Exeter to this Division I win.

    Sophia Wilhelm had three goals and one assist for the Blue Hawks, while Anna Lieberman had two goals and one assist, and Phoebe Christenson had a goal and three assists.

    Ellis Dean, Ava Welch, Grace McIllroy, Garen Steiner, and Brooke Battle all had a goal.

    BOYS LACROSSE

    Oyster River 7

    AMHERST - Jadyn Smart had two goals and one assist, and Dee Tsakiris had two goals for Oyster River in this Division II win.

    Jake Failla had a goal and two assists for the Bobcats, while Alex Moody had a goal and one assist, and Cole Levesque had a goal. Oyster River goalie Cole Norris had five saves.

    Deering 8

    Marshwood 4

    SOUTH BERWICK, Maine - Marshwood goalie Luke Dockham had 12 saves in this loss to Class A Deering. Noah Quater, Bradley Wentworth and Seth Goodwin played well for the Class B Hawks.

    Berwick Academy 16

    Hyde 6

    SOUTH BERWICK, Maine - Ebbin Perkins had five goals and five assists for Berwick Academy in a McCoy Cup semifinal. Berwick will face King School on Friday in championship game.

    Nate Fitch added four goals for Berwick, while Jack Guy had two goals and three assists.

    SOFTBALL

    Winnacunnet 12

    Central 0

    HAMPTON - Maddy Eaton had two hits, including a home run, and drove in six as Winnacunnet improved to 16-2 with this Division I win.

    Winnacunnet scored six runs in the first inning, one in the second, three in the fourth, and two in the fifth.

    Joslyn Snow added two RBIs for the Warriors, while Lucy Gelbstein and Maeva Shapiro both had one. Senior Chloe Cunningham struck outs six and allowed two hits over five innings, earning the win.

    York 9

    Lake Region 4

    NAPLES, Maine - Sophomore Maddie Fitzgerald had two hits and four RBIs as York improved to 14-0 with this Class B South win.

    Emily Estes and Lindsay Rivers both had two hits for the Wildcats, and Sarah Orso blasted her third homer of the season. Senior McKayla Kortes struck out five and allowed two hits, earning the win.

    Portsmouth Christian Academy 15

    Wilton-Lyndeborough 3

    DOVER - Kloe MacKenzie's three-run double led PCA (11-4) to this Division IV win. Lexi Jordan pitched two scoreless innings and recorded her 100th career strikeout for the Eagles.

    Westbrook 13

    Marshwood 4

    WESTBROOK, Maine - Lindsay Bennett had two hits, and Laurali Shisler, Emily Hester, Zoe Carnes and Piper Catanese all had one for Marshwood in this Class A South loss.

    Shisler, Hester and Carnes all had an RBI for the Hawks.

    BASEBALL

    Exeter 10

    Nashua North 0

    EXETER - Hayden Schimoler struck out six and allowed two hits over four innings as Exeter improved to 17-1 with this five-inning, Division I game.

    Mike Caron had a hit and three RBIs for the Blue Hawks, while Schimoler had a hit and two RBIs.

    Hopkinton 7

    Somersworth 3

    HOPKINTON - Kaden Bickford had three hits, and Eric Goodrich and Thurston Bullard both had two hits and an RBI for Somersworth in a Division III loss.

    Simon Grandmaison, Logan Perrault, Will Sneddon and Lukas Kelly all had a hit for the Hilltoppers.

    York 11

    Lake Region 8

    NAPLES, Maine - Jack Joyce blasted a three-run homer in the fourth, and then pitched a scoreless seventh, leading York to a Class B South win.

    The Wildcats scored four runs in the sixth thanks to key RBI singles by John Jacobsohn and Leo Sullivan. Ben Brown had two hits, scored three runs and drove in one for the Wildcats.
