    Vote now for Seacoast high school boys and girls Athletes of the Week for May 20-25

    Welcome to the seventh installment of the Seacoast high school Athletes of the Week for the 2024 spring sports season, presented by York County Community College.

    This week, and in weeks to come, you can vote for a girls athlete of the week and a boys athlete of the week.

    This week's poll is for outstanding athletic accomplishments during the week of May 20-25.

    How do I cast my vote?

    Voting can be completed through the two ballots listed below. Voting closes midnight Thursday, May 30.

    How do we learn who wins?

    Winners will be announced in a story published Friday, May 31 at seacoastonline.com/sports and fosters.com/sports.

    May I nominate for future ballots?

    Yes. Nominate a Seacoast high school athlete by sending an email to sports@seacoastonline.com. Feel free to send us a photo of the athlete, too.

    Here are this week's nominees and polls:

    BOYS ATHLETE OF THE WEEK NOMINEES

    Jonas Teeter, Portsmouth Christian Academy, track and field

    Teeter was a triple winner in the Division III state track meet, winning the 800 (1:59.88), 1,600 (4:35.09) and the 3,200 (9:43.71). He was also on the 4x400 relay team that placed third.

    Owen Nesbitt, Spaulding High School, baseball

    Nesbitt pitched seven scoreless innings, striking out nine and allowing one hit for Spaulding in a 5-0 win over Central/West. The Red Raiders clinched a Division I playoff spot with the win.

    Alex Molda, St. Thomas Aquinas, tennis

    Molda won 8-0 at No. 1 singles, and paired with Ryan Whiting at No. 1 doubles in St. Thomas' Division III quarterfinal win over Bishop Brady.

    Alec Webster, Traip Academy, baseball

    Webster allowed one run on four hits and struck out four over seven innings, leading Traip to a 9-1 win over Buckfield. Webster also had two hits and an RBI.

    Chris Berry, Winnacunnet High School, tennis

    Berry won his No. 1 singles match (9-8) and partnered with Luke McLaughlin to win 9-8 at No. 1 doubles as the sixth-seeded Warriors beat No. 3 Bow in a Division II quarterfinal.

    GIRLS OF THE WEEK NOMINEES

    Elle Emery, Winnacunnet, lacrosse

    Emery scored seven goals in Winnacunnet's 13-5 win over Hollis-Brookline.

    Annie Christiana, Exeter High School, softball

    Christiana picked up her 150th varsity hit, drew a walk, had two RBIs and scored two runs in Exeter's 16-0 win over Central/Memorial. Christiana also had two hits and scored two runs in a 5-3 win over Salem.

    Maria Akalonu, Portsmouth High School, track and field

    Akalonu won the discus (113 feet, 5 inches) and placed fifth in the shot put (31-8.25) in Saturday's Division I state track championship.

    Addison French, Spaulding High School, softball

    French had four hits, four RBIs and scored four runs in Spaulding's 14-4 win over Central/Memorial on Friday.

    Paige Wilson, Dover High School, tennis

    Wilson won her No. 2 singles match (8-0), and paired with Mia Mozzoni (8-1) to win at No. 2 doubles in Dover's Division I quarterfinal win over Bishop Guertin.
