    Smuttynose Food Truck & Beer Festival, Seacoast Jazz Festival: Things to do

    What do food trucks and beer, a jazz festival and Biscuit the Dog all have in common? They are all part of exciting entertainment being offered on the Seacoast this weekend. Grab your kids, friends or head out on your own to enjoy some fun!

    Roadshow Weekend: Night 1 at The Word Barn

    What: Whiskey Treaty Roadshow to perform along with Old Hat Stringband, King Kyote and Ali McGuirk.

    Books Alive: Biscuit the Dog at the Children’s Museum

    What: Everyone’s favorite silly puppy, Biscuit the Dog, will be visiting the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire this August as part of the museum’s popular Books Alive program.

    When: Friday, Aug. 23, 10-10:30 a.m. and 2-2:30 p.m.

    Where: Children’s Museum of New Hampshire, 6 Washington St., Dover

    Cost: Free to $12.50

    Enlightened Rogues with Kouchera at The Stone Church

    What: Enlightened Rogues began life in 2024 as a tribute to The Allman Brothers Band, but quickly evolved into into a broader psychedelic experience taking songs from other artists (Elton John, Ray Charles) and applying the textures and principles of The Allman Brothers' music to those songs.

    When: Friday, Aug. 23, 8-11:30 p.m.

    41st annual Seacoast Jazz Festival featuring Alexa Tarantino

    What: Alexa Tarantino headlines the 41st Annual Seacoast Jazz Festival, in partnership with Seacoast Jazz Society.
