    Friday Seacoast Roundup: WHS boys soccer pulls out tie; Oyster River's Young shines

    HAMPTON - After going down 1-0 early in the second half, junior Owen Janetos scored with 18 minutes left in and the Winnacunnet High School boys soccer team pulled out a 1-1 tie with Londonderry in a Division I match on Friday afternoon.

    James Enright assisted on the Winnacunnet (0-2-1) goal, and keeper Sully Duffy had 11 saves.

    STANDISH, Maine - Tony Piazza's first-half goal, assisted by Braeden Gagnon, proved to be the difference in this Class A South contest.

    GORHAM - Bennett Mooney, on an assist from Sam Monahan, scored the lone goal for PCA (0-3) in its Division IV loss.

    Dover 1

    PLAISTOW - Khloe Healy, on an assist by Kaitlyn Bastille, scored for Dover (2-1) in its Division I loss.

    Somersworth 2

    Mount Royal Academy 1

    SOMERSWORTH - Hannah Pincince had two goals, including one on a corner kick and another on a penalty shot for Somersworth in this Division IV win.

    Somersworth goalie Sam Malo had 14 saves, and Cayla Gonzalez had an assist. Teammates Ariana Carter, Baileigh Ssenyondo, Kira Noyce, Claire Ducluzeau, Jazlyn Soto, and Maci Garcia all played well.

    Portsmouth Christian Academy 3

    GORHAM - Tatum Smith scored two goals and Ruth Sherrill had one for Portsmouth Christian Academy (2-1) in its Division IV win.

    Sawyer Yim added two assists for the Eagles, and Jaela Stockbower had one. PCA goalie Eliza Arwood had four saves.

    VOLLEYBALL

    Winnacunnet 2

    ROCHESTER – Emily Pitfick had 34 assists and Allie Kasztejna had 13 kills, two aces and four digs for Winnacunnet in this Division I match.

    Individual set scores were 25-20, 19-25, 19-25, 25-18, 20-18.

    Oyster River 3

    Winnisquam 1

    DURHAM - Aubrey Young had 54 digs and nine aces, leading Oyster River to this Division II win.

    Individual set scores were 25-19, 19-25, 25-15, 25-9. Leah Linskey added 10 kills for the Bobcats.

    Somersworth 3

    Prospect Mountain 0

    SOMERSWORTH - Sya McKay had eight kills, seven aces, and 17 service points for Somersworth (2-0) in this Division II match.

    Individual set scores were 25-17, 25-16, 25-15.

    Savanna Comeau, Emily Runions and Paige Demers all had six kills for the Hilltoppers, while Kylie Pettengill had 21 assists.

    Portsmouth Christian Academy 3

    Belmont 2

    BELMONT - Quinn Arico had 20 Kills, seven aces, and18 digs for Portsmouth Christian Academy in its Division III win.

    Individual set scores were 18-25, 26-28, 25-19, 29-27, 15-7.

    Heidi Geyer had eight kills, three Aces, and 11 digs for PCA, while Lexi Jordan (18 assists, six aces) and Emma Eisner (three aces, 33 digs) starred.

    GOLF

    Oyster River wins four-team match

    HUDSON - Jackson Follis shot a medalist round of even-par 36, leading Oyster River with a team score of 205 at Whip Poor Golf Club.

    Goffstown (213), Alvirne (215) and Milford (239) placed second through fourth, respectively.

    Teagan Nadeau, Owen Jacques, and Alex Moody each shot a 41 for the Bobcats.

    Dover improves to 7-1

    DOVER – Carys Fennessy shot a medalist round of 36, while Tyler Buchanan carded a 39, leading Dover to a Divison I sweep at Cocheco Country Club.

    Dover had a team score of 205, beating Hanover (208), Spaulding (212) and Merrimack (218).

    Ben Zbikowski shot a 42 for the Green Wave, and teammates Michael Gorman and Ryan Sawyer both shot a 44.

    FIELD HOCKEY

    Winnacunnet 1

    Windham 0

    WINDHAM - Sofia Donatelli's goal was the difference for Winnacunnet (3-0) in this Division I game. Amber Morgado had 10 saves, earning her second straight shutout.

    Oyster River 7

    Merrimack Valley 1

    PENACOOK - Eliza Farwell's hat trick sparked Oyster River to its Division II win, improving to 3-0 on the season.

    Alaina Pryzbilsky, Maggie Aldous, Rose Goldsmith, and Rowynn Pickering all scored for the Bobcats, while teammate Olivia Anderson played well.
