Cage the Elephant's Matt Shultz adopted a puppy in New England. Here's how cute she is

While on tour, the popular rock band Cage the Elephant picked up a new bandmate, Bowie the puppy.

Cage the Elephant's Instagram page posted a series of pictures with their frontman, Matt Shultz , holding an adorable little animal, along with a video of him petting the brown, furry scamp.

"Found a new band member along the way," the post said. "Special thanks to the @newenglandpuppyrescue for giving us some pre-show puppy love and for helping Bowie find her forever home with @matthewrayshultz!"

Cage the Elephant on tour

Cage the Elephant played three New England shows last month.

The Kentucky-born band played at BankNH Pavilion in Gilford on Aug. 21, 2024, while on their Neon Pill tour , the 45-show-long American campaign to promote their sixth studio album.

Two days before that show, they were in Connecticut, playing a tour date at Bridgeport's Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater.

Two days after their New Hampshire show, Cage the Elephant played in Mansfield, Massachusetts, at the Xfinity Center.

New England Puppy Rescue dogs for adoption

Animal shelter and advocacy group New England Puppy Rescue helped frontman Shultz adopt Bowie the puppy, the band's Instagram post said.

The New England Puppy Rescue and Cage the Elephant posted an Instagram video detailing a "Backstage Puppy Fix."

"We were thrilled to bring some puppy love to yet another backstage this week!" The post said. "Our puppies not only had a blast, but they also brought endless smiles to the crew and band members, who were missing their furry friends while on tour."

New England Puppy Rescue has animals available to adopt on t heir website.
