    Check out these 6 New Hampshire corn mazes

    With September in full swing, it's officially corn maze season, and New Hampshire has no shortage of mazes to visit.

    While solving the puzzle of a maze's twisted pathways offers a thrill in itself, corn mazes all across the state offer much more than that. With attractions such as trivia challenges, scavenger hunts, haunted walkthroughs in the dark, live music and homemade ice cream stands, unique corn mazes throughout New Hampshire are sure to provide the perfect activity for a New England fall day.

    Beans & Greens Farm

    Located in the Lakes region, this farm has a petting zoo, an award-winning farm stand, a deli and of course, one of the state's most difficult corn mazes, filled with challenging pathways, dead ends and loops.

    Admission to the day maze on weekdays costs $14 for adults and $10 for children ages 9 and under, and on weekends costs $16 for adults and $12 for children. For admission to the day maze, hay rides and the fun park , guests can pay $24 per person for the "fun on the farm" package.

    Fans of all things spooky can stay after hours on weekends for the haunted night maze and the special fear farm event. Tickets cost $24 for the maze, $30 for the fear farm or $49 for both.

    When : The day maze will run 10 a.m.-4 p.m. daily from Sept. 2 through Nov. 3. The haunted night maze will happen every Friday and Saturday from 7-10 p.m. starting Sept. 20, and fear farm will run at the same time starting in October.

    Moulton Farm

    Moulton Farm , a farm focused on sustainable agriculture just north of Lake Winnipesaukee, is home to a corn maze that has a different fun design each year. On select days throughout the fall season, participants in the maze can enjoy free wagon rides and live music.

    The cost to get lost in the maze is $10 for adults, $6 for children ages 3-6 and free for children under 3.

    After working up an appetite in the maze, be sure to check out the farm kitchen, bakery, Cider Bellies donut stand, or the farm's food truck, Moulton's Hay Wagon , which offers seasonal menus featuring fresh food from the farm.

    When : Moulton Farm is open daily from 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m., and the maze opens Sept. 21.

    Sherman Farm

    Calling all trivia experts - the road trip-themed corn maze at Sherman Farm is full of riddles, or as the farm calls them, cornundrums. Answer the questions correctly for clues to guide you in the right direction as you navigate the giant van.

    Ticket prices for Sherman Farm's maze depend on the weekend, ranging from $13 to $16 per person over the age of three. Sherman Farm recommends buying tickets online , as they are $5 more expensive at the door.

    Mini-games, hayrides, a playground and a petting zoo are included in the price of admission. Concession stands have food and fall favorites, including cider donuts, available for purchase.

    When : The corn maze at Sherman Farm is open on weekends from Sept. 21 through Oct. 27, with hours from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

    Coppal House Farm

    This year, Coppal House Farm is celebrating their 20th anniversary with a moose-shaped corn maze. Like Sherman Farm, this maze has trivia questions to guide you on the right path. However, answer the question wrong and you'll be sent the wrong way.

    If cracking the trivia isn't enough of a challenge, Coppal House also offers flashlight mazes where visitors can try to find their way in the dark. On select days throughout the season, this farm hosts special events such as harvest weekend, craft fairs, wagon rides and food truck fairs.

    Regular admission to the corn maze costs $10 for ages 13 and over and $8 for ages 5-12, and admission to the night maze costs $15 for ages 5 and older. Regular tickets can be purchased online or in-person, but night maze tickets must be purchased online .

    When : Starting Sept. 7, the corn maze at Coppal House Farm will be open from 12-5 p.m. Monday, Thursday and Friday, and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Flashlight mazes will happen Sept. 28, Oct. 12 and Oct. 26 from 6:30-9 p.m.

    Collins Farm

    The 13-acre corn maze at Collins Farm is filled with hidden checkpoints and trivia questions sure to entertain all ages. Visitors can try their luck at navigating the maze during the day or in the dark during one of the farm's flashlight mazes .

    For an extra challenge full of spooky surprises, try Collin Farm's haunted maze . In their most popular attraction, participants must try to find all the hidden checkpoints in the maze while live actors and animations line the pathways ready to terrify anyone who passes.

    The maze costs $5 for ages 3-12 or $10 for ages 13 and older, the flashlight maze costs $6 for ages 3-12 or $12 for ages 13 and older, and the haunted maze costs $20 per person. On-site concessions include corn dogs, fried dough and deep-fried Oreos.

    When : Collins' corn maze is open for the season on weekends from Aug. 17 through Nov. 2, with hours from 12 p.m. until sunset on Friday and 10 a.m. until sunset on Saturday and Sunday. Flashlight corn mazes will be available from sunset until 10 p.m. on Aug. 17, Aug. 31, Sept. 1, Sept. 21, Oct. 12 and Oct. 13, and haunted mazes will happen from 6-10 p.m. on Oct 18, Oct. 19, Oct. 25, Oct. 26, Nov. 1 and Nov. 2.

    Beech Hill Farm

    Beech Hill Farm has not one, but two themed corn mazes. This year, the mazes' themes are "rainforest jumble" and "amazing U.S. jeopardy." These mazes are styled like a scavenger hunt, meaning participants must search for clues and complete puzzles to find their way.

    Entry to the mazes costs just $7 per person, and children ages 3 and under enter for free.

    After completing the maze, treat yourself to some ice cream from the ice cream barn , stocked with over 75 flavors of New England-made ice cream.

    When : These scavenger hunt mazes are open from 12-7 p.m. daily until Oct. 31.
