    Lindsay and Puppet Pals, Country Fest, town yard sale: Things to do in Seacoast

    Autumn has arrived and the Seacoast entertainment scene is rustling with colorful things to do! Head out this weekend to enjoy those cooler temps and be sure to check out one of the many options being offered. Shenekia Copeland will be performing at the Rochester Opera House, Lindsay and Her Puppet Pals will be at The Players’ Ring Theatre, find a unique treasure at Newfields’ 12th annual Town-Wide Yard Sale, or hit the streets of Portsmouth to listen to the music of the sea at the Portsmouth Maritime Folk Festival.

    Shemekia Copeland at Rochester Opera House

    What: Six-time Grammy Award nominee Shemekia Copeland performs muscular rockers, stomping blues, swampy soul, and heartbreaking ballads.

    Dis N’ Dat Band at The Dance Hall

    What: Formed in 1999 by four-time Grammy nominated Black Uhuru drummer ‘Rangotan and six-time steel pan champion Sista D, Dis-N-Dat has a unique sound with roots reggae, dance hall and R&B.

    When: Friday, Sept. 27, 8-9:30 p.m.

    Clem Snide at The Word Barn

    Lindsay and Her Puppet Pals at The Players’ Ring Theatre

    What: Lindsay and Her Puppet Pals performs with several larger-than-life, hand-crafted puppets, a great fit for ages 3-8 and families.

    Newfields’ 12th annual Town-Wide Yard Sale

    What: Full digital map of yard sale coming the day before the event to paulmemoriallibrary.org . Thirty homes particpated in 2023. Printed maps will be available at the Newfields Country Store and the library (after 9 a.m.) on Saturday.

    Country Fest at Cisco Brewers Portsmouth

    What: Country Fest music festival also features the fourth annual Seacoast Lumberjack Competition.

    Bombay Rickey at The Press Room

    What: Bombay Rickey is a five-piece band with a sound evocative of 1960s movie soundscapes. The group plays covers and original music that borrow equally from the worlds of surf rock, cumbia, spaghetti-Western, and Bollywood, balanced out with soaring operatic vocals.
