    Saturday Seacoast roundup: Exeter, Dover girls cross country fourth at respective invites

    EAST HARTFORD, Conn. - Exeter High School sophomore Eli Cross placed 10th overall in the Large School Division at the Wickham Park Invitational on Saturday.

    Cross covered the 3.1-mile course in a time of 19 minutes, 48 seconds. Exeter, as a team, placed fourth in the 21-team field.

    Also running for Exeter, Alexis Paterna was 13th in 19:54, while teammates Briana Paterna (39th, 21:06), Molly Kells (43rd, 21:17) and Madeline Ralabate (51st, 21:35) all competed.

    GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY

    Dover fourth at Black Bear Invitational

    NORTHWOOD - Anique Poulin was second overall in a time of 19:14, leading Dover to a fourth-place finish at the Black Bear Invitational.

    Dover had a team score of 115, while Phillips Exeter had a first-place score of 44. Winnacunnet (187) was sixth.

    Other Dover runners included Janelle Poulin (19th, 21:47), Lily Fiorenza (25th, 22:17), Emily Nute (34th, 22:46) and Lily Glode (35th, 22:49).

    Winnacunnet runners included Emily Arlington (24th, 22:15), Carly Eaton (27th, 22:21), Cailan Field (42, 24:05), Kaitlin Merrill (46th, 24:28) and Lindsay Jost (48th, 24:47).

    BOYS CROSS COUNTRY

    Winnacunnet eighth at Black Bear Invitational

    NORTHWOOD - Winnacunnet's Andrew Martin-Biggs placed 16th overall in a time of 17 minutes, 54 seconds.

    Winnacunnet placed eighth in the 15-team field with 237 points. Coe-Brown won with a 45.

    Other Winnacunnet runners included Mattais Germain (33rd, 18:46), Nicholas Depippo (49th, 19:30), Wyatt Fairley (57th, 19:51) and Wyatt Nicol (82, 20:00).

    Portsmouth Christian's Christian Barnes placed ninth (17:27), George Stewart was 36th (18:42), Owen McKenney was 54th (19:41) and Brady Holt (20:06) was 60th.

    Dover's Max Winn was 51st (19:36).

    GIRLS SOCCER

    NASHUA - Lauren Roeder and Nola Fletcher both had a goal and an assist for Exeter in a Division I match.

    Mia Albertelli also scored for the Blue Hawks, who improved to 8-0-1 on the season. Hannah Outhouse and Ellie Tuttle split time in the Exeter goal.

    Newmarket 5

    Epping 0

    EPPING - Olivia Blackadar and Kaya Dobberstein both had two goals for Newmarket in its Division IV win.

    AJ Mulligan also scored for the Mules. Aubrey Grow and Lorelei Esterbrook both played well for the Mules, and Ashlyn Szelog earned the shutout/

    Traip Academy 2

    North Yarmouth Academy 0

    YARMOUTH, Maine - Keira Alessi had a goal and an assist, and Aberash Robinson also scored for Traip in a Class C South contest.

    Traip goalie Lilly Stuart had 24 saves.

    Marshwood 5

    Portland 1

    PORTLAND, Maine - Lucy Parker had three goals, and Isabelle Tice and Jackie Arnold both had one for Marshwood (5-3) in a Class A South match.
