    Seacoast Monday roundup: Fowler lifts WHS field hockey, Somersworth volleyball sweeps

    HAMPTON -- McKinley Fowler scored three goals as the Winnacunnet High School field hockey team beat Londonderry, 5-2 on Monday in a Division I contest.

    Winnacunnet is now 6-3-1 on the season.

    Sofia Donatelli and Maddy Garrant both had a goal for the Warriors, while goalie Amber Morgado had two saves.

    FIELD HOCKEY

    Bedford 4

    Exeter 2

    BEDFORD - Dani Caron and Olivia Amarosa each scored a goal for Exeter in its Division I loss.

    Falmouth 3

    Marshwood 2

    FALMOUTH, Maine - Hazel Stout and Lauryn Gobbi each scored a goal for Marshwood (1-7) in this Class A South loss.

    Dover 8

    Portsmouth 0

    PORTSMOUTH - Hannah Deroy had two goals and two assists, and Meredith Toland had two goals for Dover (9-1-1) in this Division I win.

    Erin Lynch added a goal and three assists for the Green Wave, while Giana Leonardi (goal, assist), Callie Toupin (goal), Kaela Robins (goal), Leyden Churchill (assist) and Gaby Anderson (assist) all figured in the scoring.

    Dover goalie Scarlett Gray had two saves, earning the shutout. Reese McCauley had 24 saves for Portsmouth (0-11).

    GIRLS SOCCER

    NEWMARKET - Olivia Blackadar's four goals and two assists led Newmarket to this Division IV win.

    AJ Mulligan added three goals and three assists for the Mules, while Amelia Raab (goal, assist) and Jillian Long (two assists) figured in the scoring.

    Teammates Lorelei Esterbrook and Aubrey Grow both played well, and Kaya Dobberstein and Ashlyn Szelog split time in goal.

    Somersworth 7

    Hinsdale 2

    SOMERSWORTH - Hannah Pincince's four goals and two assists led Somersworth to this Division IV win. Cayla Gonzalez added three goals for the Hilltoppers, while Jazlyn Soto had three assists.

    Somersworth goalie Sam Malo had seven saves, while Neela Phillips, Giada Lopes, Miley Ssenyondo and Peyton Paul all played well.

    BOYS SOCCER

    Biddeford 1

    SOUTH BERWICK, Maine -Sev Tay and Jake Bailey each scored a first-half goal to lead Marshwood (5-3) to this Class A South win.

    Marshwood goalie Orrin Culp Dechant had seven saves.

    VOLLEYBALL

    Somersworth 3

    Kingswood 0

    WOLEBORO - Sya McKay had nine kills and nine digs for Somersworth (10-0) in this Division II win.

    Individual set scores were 25-19, 25-22, 25-22.

    Somersworth's Emily Runions (10 digs, four kills), Kylie Pettengill (26 assists), Paige Demers (five kills) and Savanna Comeau (four kills) all contributed.

    DOVER - Quinn Carberry had 14 assists and four kills, Ali Sullivan had nine assists and eight aces and Ava Pohopek had six kills for Dover (4-6) in its Division I win.

    Portsmouth Christian Academy 3

    DOVER - Emma Eisner's 17 digs and five aces led PCA (7-1) to this Division IV win.

    Individual set scores were 25-7, 25-17, 21-25, 26-24.

    Quinn Arico added 15 assists for the Eagles, while teammates Lexi Jordan (eight assists, four aces), Heidi Geyer (10 kills, five aces), Maycie Andress (four kills, three aces), and Caroline Braman (five aces, two blocks) all starred.

    Salem 3

    Winnacunnet 0

    SALEM - Emily Pitfick had 11 assists and two digs, while Meeghan Quinn had seven kills for Winnacunnet (2-8) in this Division I loss.

    Individual set scores were 25-20, 25-18, 25-15.

    GOLF

    Oyster River wins three-team match

    NORTH CONWAY - Jackson Follis shot a co-medalist round of 38 for Oyster River in a three-team match at North Conway Country Club.

    Oyster River won with a score of 205, beating Kennett (209) and Goffstown (217). Oyster River's Teagan Nadeau shot a 39 and Owen Jacques shot a 40.

    Dover is second in four-team match

    DERRYFIELD - Carys Fennessy shot a medalist round of 2-under-par 32 as Dover placed second in a four-team match at Derryfield Country Club.

    Londonderry placed first with a score of 199, beating Dover (203), Hanover (204) and Memorial (225).

    Michael Gorman and Declan Fitzgerald each shot a 42 for Dover (13-2), while Tyler Buchanan had a 43 and Ben Zbikowski a 44.

    Exeter places third in three-team match

    DERRY - Jascha Johnston shot a medalist score of even-par-36, and Jack Radcliffe shot a 39 as Exeter placed third in a three-team match at Hoodkroft Country Club.

    Nashua South and Pinkerton both shot a 197, and Exeter had a 199.

    York completes regular-season at 10-1

    POLAND, Maine - Liam Connors shot a 41, leading York to a win at Poland Spring Golf Club. The Wildcats finish the regular season at 10-1.

    Bancroft Potter and Max Zuckerman both shot a 44 for York, while Lachlan McMorris had a 46.

    MIDDLE SCHOOL

    PORTSMOUTH - Rose Merrill had three goals, while Leia Slosberg and Chloe Masson both scored one goal for Portsmouth.

    Quinn Lane had two assists for the Clippers, and Sookie Merrill had nine saves. Defensively, Allie Sokolnicki and Lilli Cosgrove starred.
