    Seacoast Roundup: Lynch, Toland lift Dover field hockey; WHS' Clifford nets hat trick

    MERRIMACK - Erin Lynch and Meredith Toland each scored as the Dover High School field hockey team beat Merrimack, 2-0 on Tuesday in a Division I match.

    Dover, the defending Division I state champions, improved to 12-2-1, and will end its regular season on Wednesday at home against Windham.

    Lynch and Kaela Robins both had an assist, while goalie Scarlett Gray had one save.

    GIRLS SOCCER

    Winnacunnet 6

    Alvirne 0

    HUDSON - Maitri Clifford had three goals and Mia Lantaigne had two goals and one assist for Winnacunnet (10-1-2) in this Division I contest.

    Isla Christie had a goal and three assists for the Warriors, while goalie Julianne Banks had two saves. Maeve Ouelette, Molly Houlihan and Taylor Burness all played well in the win.

    Portsmouth 1

    Exeter 0

    PORTSMOUTH - Morgan Ruhnke's unassisted goal lifted Portsmouth (5-6-3) to this Division I win. Exeter is now 11-1-2.

    Charley Loose had eight saves for the Clippers, while Ailish Honda and Grace Ward both played well in the win.

    St. Thomas Aquinas 3

    DOVER - Reece Anderson, Mallory Baker and Charlotte DeTolla each had a goal for St. Thomas Aquinas in a Division III match. STA goalie Genna Bolduc had six saves, earning the shutout.

    Traip Academy 2

    Waynflete 0

    PORTLAND, Maine - Jacquelyn Diallo scored two goals for Traip in this Class C South contest.

    Keirra Alessi had an assist for the Rangers, who got nine saves from Lilly Stuart.

    York 2

    Fryeburg Academy 1

    YORK, Maine - Chloe DeLuca headed home a Scarlett Ring corner in the third minute of overtime of this Class B South win for York.

    York went up 1-0 early in the first half on a Zoe Carroll goal, assisted by Ring. Fryeburg tied the game right before halftime.

    Portsmouth 1

    Exeter 1

    EXETER - Portsmouth's Woodley Jean-Baptise tied this Division I match on 25-yard free kick in the second half. The Clippers are now 5-5-3 on the season.

    Jude Keener scored for Exeter, which got three saves from goalie Alex Fooa.

    Winnacunnet 3

    HUDSON - Sam Souther had two goals and Dan Dumont scored one for Winnacunnet (4-6-3) in a Division I match.

    Ryan Zumbach and Carter O'Brien both had an assist for the Warriors. WHS goalie Sully Duffy had two saves, and the back line of O'Brien, Peyton Gemme, James Enright and Connor Fowler all played well.

    Traip Academy 3

    KITTERY, Maine - Adrian Cunningham's goal, on an assist from Arvid Feldmann, was the game-winner in the second overtime of this Class C South clash.

    Cunningham's goal with 40 seconds left in regulation tied the match at 2-2. Jonah Nelson also scored for the Rangers, while Cunningham and Makili Matty both had an assist.

    Traip goalie Jack Downs had seven saves.

    Raymond 4

    Somersworth 2

    RAYMOND - Freddie Adrian and Alex Brown each scored a goal for Somersworth in its Division III loss. Jackson O'Brien and Tristian Doyle both had an assist for the Hilltoppers.

    Somersworth goalie Nahum Yoder had nine saves, while William Sneddon and Jack Rossiter both played well.

    VOLLEYBALL

    Laconia 3

    St. Thomas Aquinas 1

    LACONIA - Jules Stowell had 21 assists and nine digs for St. Thomas in a Division II match.

    Individual set scores were 25-17, 23-25, 25-7, 25-22.

    Kaity Kelly and Alaina Hathaway both had eight kills and eight digs for the Saints, and Anjali Magnati had eight digs.

    Thornton Academy 3

    Marshwood 1

    SACO, Maine - Brynn Folger (20 assists, three aces), Renee St. Pierre (six blocks), Nellie Young (nine kills) and Hannah Tuttle (15 digs) led Marshwood in this Class B loss.

    Individual set scores were 25-22, 25-16, 18-25, 25-14.

    York 3

    Cape Elizabeth 1

    YORK, Maine - The Wildcats improved to 10-1 with this Class B win. Individual set scores were 10-25, 25-18, 25-17, 25-15.

    Lauren Chagnon and Brooke Roe starred for York.
