Coroner confirm identity of man killed while scrapping for copper
DECATUR, Ill. (WICS) — A Decatur man is dead after he suffered multiple injuries from a fall and suffered high-voltage electrocution. The Macon County Coroner, says on Aug. 20, at 5:50 p.m. William J. Wattles, Jr. 47, came to the area of a shuttered industrial plant, utilized a ladder, and saw an apparent attempt to recover copper and other materials for sale as scrap.
