Possession of meth, child endangerment lands four Wamego residents behind bars in Pottawatomie County
POTTAWATOMIE COUNTY, Kan. (WIBW) - Possession of methamphetamine and child endangerment landed four Wamego residents behind bars in Pottawatomie County. According to Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office, on Tuesday, June 18, the Sheriff’s Office and the Wamego Police Department executed a search warrant in the 1000 block of 10th St in Wamego in Pottawatomie County, Kan. The search warrant was a result of an investigation into illegal activity in the Wamego area. Items seized included methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and firearms.
Four Wamego residents arrested on Tuesday on slew of drug-related charges
The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office and the Wamego Police Department conducted a search warrant early on Tuesday that resulted in the arrest of 4 individuals. The search warrant was executed in the 1000 block of 10th Street in Wamego as the result of an investigation into illegal drug activity. Officers were able to seize drug paraphernalia and firearms at the scene of the crime.

POTTAWATOMIE COUNTY, Kan. (WIBW) - Pottawatomie County officials will host a town hall meeting for those affected by the Westmoreland tornado. According to a Facebook post shared by Pottawatomie County on Thursday, June 13, the City of Westmoreland established a Long-Term Recovery Group (LTRG) to aid in the next steps following the April 30 Westmoreland tornado. For those affected by the tornado, the LTRG will host a Town Hall gathering beginning at 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 30 at the Westmoreland Community Center, 202 Main St. Dinner and daycare will be provided.

Farr pleads no contest in drug case
A Wamego man entered a no-contest plea in Pottawatomie Country District Court Thursday to five different counts — four of which are drug related. McKaine Farr, who has already been convicted in the separate fentanyl related deaths of Jayson Ebert and Thomas DeLoach, entered into a plea agreement on charges filed relating to his June 22, 2023 arrest in the DeLoach case.
