Red Oak man arrested for escape from custody
(Red Oak) – A Red Oak man is in custody on charges out of Pottawattamie County. The Red Oak Police Department says officers arrested 56-year-old Richard James Linfor around 10:30 p.m. Friday in the 500 block of East Market Street. Linfor was arrested on a Pottawattamie County warrant for escape from custody.
Iowa couple ticketed after old license plates turn up in NYC
COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (WOWT) - A mystery has resurfaced in Pottawattamie County and more vehicle owners are frustrated by a lack of answers. Two years ago, 6 News exposed how old Iowa license plates turned into the treasurer a decade ago have been caught on speed cameras in New York City, most recently in April.
Pottawattamie County man killed in a NE hit-and-run bicycling event; Arkansas man arrested
(Valentine, NE) – Multiple media outlets report a man from Arkansas was arrested Wednesday in connection with a fatal, hit-and-run bicycling event that left a Pottawattamie County (IA) man dead. 35-year-old Adam Earl Joe Cooper, of Arkansas, is charged with felony motor vehicle homicide and leaving the scene of accident, in the death of 82-year-old Larry Lynn Covalciuc, from Council Bluffs.
Red Oak Man Arrested on Pottawattamie County Warrant
(Montgomery Co) The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Braden Alan Gray, of Red Oak, Tuesday evening on an active warrant out of Pottawattamie County for Violation of Probation. Gray was transported to the Montgomery County Jail where he was held on $2,000 cash or surety bond.
America’s SBDC Iowa announces new Regional Director
AMES, Iowa – America’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Iowa, has announced that Elizabeth Christensen is the new Regional Director for the Iowa Western SBDC at Iowa Western Community College, located in Council Bluffs. Elizbeth Christensen will advise and train entrepreneurs and existing business owners in Pottawattamie, Shelby, Harrison, Page, Mills, Cass and Fremont counties. Elizabeth started in early June and is excited to continue supporting western Iowa businesses.
