Update on Pottawattamie County Roads Closed Due To Flooding
(Pottawattamie Co) The Pottawattamie County Road Department has closed several roads due to flooding. 152nd Street from Old Mormon Bridge Road north to Missouri Avenue is closed. 152nd Street north of Sumac Road is closed. Old Mormon Bridge Road is closed from Old Lincoln Highway (L20) west to Interstate 29.

Evacuations requested in Pottawattamie County
(Council Bluffs) -- Residents in at least two portions of Pottawattamie County are being asked to evacuate. County officials says the voluntary evacuations are in anticipation of Missouri River flooding by mid week. The evacuation areas are in northwest Pottawattamie County from the Harrison County line south to Council Bluffs city limits, and east of the Missouri River to Interstate 29, and in Council Bluffs along Emil Lane, Dog Bite Lane and the east to west spans of Gifford Road between South 19th Street and South 35th Street. Officials say timely and reliable access to these areas for essential emergency services will be significantly delayed and may be completely impassable based on the current forecast. Speaking on KMA's "Morning Line" program Monday morning, Pottawattamie County Emergency Management Coordinator Doug Reed says the National Weather Service forecasts indicate the flooding is "above the level of possibility."
