Initial Report Released for Covelo Plane Crash Last October
The NTSB has released its initial report on a plane crash that killed two people near Covelo last October. Investigators say the pilot turned too far, causing the small plane to go down. The crash happened just seconds after the plane took off from Round Valley Airport. The plane crashed through about 50 feet of treetops and branches, then hit the ground and burst into flames. A 54-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman were killed.
16-year-old killed in Richmond crash involving suspected drunk driver
A Richmond teenager was killed Sunday night in a crash involving a suspected drunk driver, according to police. The teen, identified by the coroner's office as 16-year-old Ricardo Funes, was driving in the area of Ohio Avenue and South 20th Street when they were hit by another driver suspected of being impaired, police said.
