Treehouse Theater Hosting Auditions in September
Manitowoc’s Treehouse Theater is inviting youths from all over Eastern Wisconsin to try their hand at acting. Karen Rohrer, the Executive Director of Treehouse Theater, tells Seehafer News that they will be holding auditions for Beauty and the Beast Jr. on September 3rd, 5th, and 7th, and for Lion King Kids on September 15th and 17th.

The UW Oshkosh football team will look to compete for the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference title this season after ending the 2023 season with a 6-4 record. Titans volleyball looks to win back-to-back WIAC titles
The UW Oshkosh women’s volleyball team will look to win back-to-back Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference titles when the Titans’ season gets underway Aug. 30. In 2023, the Titans, predicted to finish second in the WIAC before the season began, were ranked 15th in the American Volleyball Coaches Association’s preseason poll and climbed as high as No. 2 in the nation before finishing at No. 5. They claimed the 14th WIAC title in program history by posting a flawless 7-0 league record and started the season with a conference-record 34 consecutive wins. The league title was also the first outright since 2009. They were more recently tri-champions in 2016 and co-champions in both 2015 and 2010.
Ships Runners Fare Well at Two Rivers Cross Country Invite
The Manitowoc Lincoln Ships boys’ and girls’ cross country teams competed at the Two Rivers Invitational on Thursday (August 29th). According to Coach Michael Bubolz, the girl’s team took 2nd place in the 15-team field, narrowly edging out three teams by single-digit points to claim the runner-up spot behind Notre Dame.
