Arbaugh ’95 Joins Ozarks as JLC Academic Support Coordinator
Adrienne Arbaugh has joined the University of the Ozarks as an academic support coordinator in the Jones Learning Center, beginning Aug. 1, 2024. Arbaugh is a 1995 U of O graduate with a degree in education. She most recently served as a teacher with the Clarksville School District from 2003-2024 and also taught in the Explorers Program, an after-school program that provides additional mentoring and guidance for some students.
Tenant gives landlord fake check for Rent
Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – July 19, 2024 – A 59-year-old Jonesboro man filed a report with JPD this week regarding a Forgery. The subject is a landlord at a local apartment complex and had possession of a check from one of his tenants for their last month’s rent. The check was written by the Jonesboro Urban Renewal Housing Authority.

ROGERS, Ark. — The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) discussed recovery efforts with small business owners and community leaders in Rogers on Thursday. Congressman Steve Womack welcomed U.S. SBA Administrator Isabel Casillas Guzman to Northwest Arkansas. Arkansas Sees Over 10 Inches of Rain from Hurricane Beryl and Missouri Cold Front
Little Rock, AR – The National Weather Service reports that Arkansas has experienced substantial rainfall due to the remnants of Hurricane Beryl on the 8th and 9th and a slow-moving cold front from Missouri on the 16th and 17th. This has resulted in precipitation totals over 10 inches in various locations, including Mountain View, Bull Shoals, and Conway.

Baxter County Disaster Recovery Center to be Closed Saturday
The FEMA Disaster Recovery Center in Baxter County will be closed on Saturday due to a previously scheduled event. The center located at the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas on 1042 Highland Circle in Mountain Home will resume normal operational hours Monday at 8.Normal hours at the center is 8 to 6 Monday through Saturday, closed Sundays.
