    These are the 5 most expensive homes sold in Dutchess County so far this year

    Rhinebeck is home to four out of five of the most expensive homes sold in Dutchess County this year. One home sold in Red Hook is also in the top five.

    These residences, ranging from $1.41 million to $2.34 million, all are within close proximity to the Village of Rhinebeck. They offer some stunning features, from views of the Hudson River to multiple fireplaces, luxury amenities and manicured landscapes.

    Here are the five most expensive homes sold in Dutchess County so far this year, according to realtor.com .

    1. 403 Rhinecliff Road, Rhinebeck: $2,347,500

    Sold March 26, 2024

    This 3,800-square-foot Gothic Revival home sits on a 1.8-acre lot overlooking the Hudson River and the Catskill Mountains. Built in 2009, the "North River House" is the newest home on this list, and has a listed three bedrooms, five baths and two-car garage. When the original owner built the home, they used trees from the land to supply the maplewood floors on the first floor and pine wood floors on the second floor.

    The home is surrounded by woodlands and has a stream situated next to it connecting to the river, but is still only a three-minute drive to the Village of Rhinebeck, a short distance from the Rhinecliff Amtrak train station and located in the Rhinebeck Central School District.
