Poughkeepsie woman claims she was drugged with 'blue angel dust' in bizarre encounter outside of clothing store

A Poughkeepsie woman is speaking exclusively with News 12 after she claims she was drugged in a bizarre encounter Tuesday with a woman outside of a clothing store. Antoinetta Guerriero-Golia, 47, was shopping at the Rainbow Store in the Town of Poughkeepsie on South Road when she says a woman outside asked her to take a photo of her with her phone. She says she did and immediately felt sick. “Not even five footsteps, I got this feeling in my body this numbness starting from my fingers. A hot flash from my neck down to my feet. I felt my eyes rolling like I was losing conscious, and I felt like a strong chemical smell and taste in my throat,” says Guerriero-Golia. “I’m praying to the Lord, please, please, please don’t let me go down like this.” The woman believes she pressed something placed on the device screen that didn't belong on it. The woman says she made it to her car to call for help and was transported to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital by ambulance. “They said to me, we are very busy. You look fine and your vitals are great,” Guerriero-Golia says. “She’s like, if you want to wait another hour or so we might be able to [see you] but that’s up to you.” Golia says she has a medical condition that interferes with the absorption of medications and believes it’s the reason she claims to have had mild symptoms and remained conscious. Golia says a blood test to detect the presence of drugs was not performed at the hospital and that she decided to leave after waiting in the emergency room for three hours. “I went to the pharmacy. I did my own urine test, and it came back that I had this drug called blue angel dust,” Golia says. Hospital representatives could not disclose the details of Golia’s visit due to HIPAA laws but tell News 12 that they do not perform drug tests. Golia shared her experience to Instagram that has thousands of views. Town of Poughkeepsie police are investigating. They say they haven’t gotten any similar complaints and do not believe there’s a reason for public concern. Guerriero-Golia says police have surveillance video from the Rainbow clothing store that captured part of the encounter. Other cases involving women with similar experiences have made headlines nationwide. Golia says she’s sharing her story publicly to prevent anyone else from experiencing a similar situation. “Please just tell family, tell anybody because this is happening in our own town,” says Golia. “Share it with everybody because this person is out there.” "
