Stowe Mountain Resort, VT, just announced a one-week season extension. Lifts will now spin until Sunday, April 21st.

This comes after "miracle March", as over 5 feet of snow fell during the month, and the resort received over 250 inches during the season.

The resort has put on some crowd-pleasing events over the course of the season, such as the above Sunrise Service, where a non-denominational Easter Sunrise Service was provided by the Stowe Community Church at sunrise. Participants took the Mansfield Gondola up in the wee hours of the morning, enjoying the scenery on the way to and from the service.

Vice President and General Manager Shannon Buhler said, "we’re so grateful to our dedicated team members and passionate guests. Stowe is truly a magical place with a storied and rich skiing history."

"Between honoring the 90th anniversary of the Mt. Mansfield Ski Patrol – the longest operating ski patrol in the country – our upcoming spring events, and now our season extension, we’re celebrating everyone and everything that makes Stowe such a beloved mountain community.”

The events aren't over yet: on April 12 at 7pm, there will be an Epic Passholders concert featuring Kat Wright & The Indomitable Soul band.

Open terrain will be conditions dependent for the last week of the season, but as of right now, Stowe has a base depth of 36 inches.
