It's late-August and that means one thing... it's ski pass buying season. By now, you've noticed that social media feeds are clogged with advertisements for ski passes, but there's one detail you might have missed.

The Ikon Pass has added one complimentary bike park ticket that can be redeemed during Summer 2024 for those who purchase a ski pass for the Winter '24/'25 season.

Mountain biking isn't every skier's cup of offseason tea, but the overlap in sports is certainly well-documented. For skiers looking to squeeze the last bit of juice out of summer, most of the bike parks featured above are open throughout the month of September, meaning, there's still plenty of time to redeem your free bike park ticket.

Alterra Mountain Company has an incentive to sell passes in August for revenue purposes, but if you can afford it, why not snag that Ikon Pass at the lowest price (we all know that prices will continue to raise throughout the fall) and enjoy a free bike park day at one of these resorts? It's a win-win for every skier who dabbles in mountain biking to stay sane when the snow melts.

Winter '24/'25 Ikon Pass holders also receive complimentary summer lift access at 16 destinations. Whether you want to go for a hike, take in the views, or just hang out at a ski resort in the summer (pretty fun, actually), you can take your Ikon Pass to the following resorts for free sight-seeing access:

    • Blue Mountain, ON
    • Big Bear, CA
    • Crystal Mountain, WA
    • Copper Mountain, CO
    • Deer Valley, UT
    • Mammoth Mountain, CA
    • Palisades Tahoe, CA
    • Schweitzer, ID
    • Snowshoe, WV

    • Solitude, UT
    • Steamboat, CO

    • Sugarbush, VT
    • Tremblant, QB
    • Winter Park, CO
