Candide Thovex Announces Marriage to Model Fiancé

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, let us come together to celebrate the matrimony of Candide Thovex (the greatest skier of all-time...?) and his fiancé of one year, French model Ambre.

Thovex made the announcement that the two were married in a social media post on August 20th, 2024.

Apologies if we're getting a bit too TMZ here in our coverage of this story, but it's not often that we hear from Candide, let alone about something so personal. When Candide does post, his skiing steals the show, but the man of Few Words often hides his face and avoids speaking directly to the camera. It adds to the mystique, but his lack of access frustrates me as an over-zealous journalist seeking to peel back the layers of my favorite skier. I want to know more, and the fact that I can't know more makes his wedding announcement all the more surprising.

Despite his well-documented adverse feelings towards camera attention, Candide feels comfortable sharing with the world that he has recently been married to, presumably, the love of his life. That's something worth noting, in my book.
