It's no surprise many resorts across Colorado are starting to warn of both delayed openings (overall) and delayed lift starts.

Crested Butte is no stranger to the challenge.

Today, Crested Butte Mountain Resort's (CBMR) Patrol issued the following update:

"Hey wonderful people! We here at patrol wanted to warn everyone that tomorrow (March 3rd) most lifts are likely to be delayed," the social post said.

"Silver Queen, Paradise, and the T-bars could likely shut due to extreme winds, delaying our progress towards opening terrain.

"Please bear with us as we work our butts off to get terrain open!"

It's Crested Butte. There's lots of terrain. And after this blast, the mountain will be Powder Heaven.

And their butts will be gone.

    Cheers, CBMR.
