Skiers Make First Descent of Great Trango in Pakistan

Jim Morrison is a skier and climber of very few words.

Action is his language. And from what I can tell, he doesn't do a lot of interviews. But, Powder was lucky enough to grab some of his time today.

Chantel Astorga ( @chantel.astorga ), Christina Lustenberger ( @christinalusti ) and Morrison ( @jimwmorrison ) recently (May 9) skied one of the more significant peaks in the Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan: Great Trango.

It's not that this area is blisteringly high. All the hills are around 6,000 meters, and boast incredible climbing objectives. (Mike Pennings used to live in my basement.)

It's more that any kind of skiing here is a massive navigational experiment—or worse.

I was going to write up the interview, but with Jim's permission, I've just loaded it up as an interview.
