Christy Ann Cree, 39, of Lithia Springs, is accused of removing the exterior housing of an air conditioner unit and cutting a small piece of copper tubing on July 13 at 4:21 a.m. at the Chevron gas station at 3290 New Macland Road in Powder Springs, near Compton Elementary School, according to an arrest warrant from the Powder Springs Police Department.

When Cree saw police, she fled on foot over a hill and into a wooded area before she was taken into custody. She had in her possession a flashlight, a pocketknife and a nut driver set. After searching the area where Cree was found, police discovered a pair of bolt cutters and a small black zippered container with two large and one small, white rocks believed to be methamphetamine. Cree also informed the officer that she had two syringes in her left front pocket, one empty and the other containing a clear liquid, according to the warrant.

Cree is charged with criminal trespass damage; obstruction/hindering law enforcement; possession of tools; theft by taking – less than $1,500; possession of methamphetamine; and possession of drug-related object. She was arrested on July 13 at 4:30 a.m. and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records.

Cree remains in custody without bond and has a hold from the Douglasville Police Department.
