With March more than halfway behind us, it's (sadly) time to start thinking about buying passing for next year and knowing when different resorts will close for the season. While the end of the season can be snowpack-dependent, resorts also have to close at certain times based on land use permitting, staffing, and maintenance.

While it's sad to contemplate the end of this season, Deer Valley dropped some good news this past week by announcing that they'll be open later than anticipated. The resort will now close on April 21st (a week later than initially intended). See the full announcement below.

Caption: "We are extending the ski season at #DeerValley! Ski season is going by too fast. We can’t slow it down so we’re extending a week. Our new closing day will be April 21.

Purchase your 24/25 Deer Valley Season Pass or #IkonPass now for unlimited spring skiing, starting April 8. Get more information with the link in our profile."

If you haven't already started thinking about passes for next year, now is the time! It's worth shopping around and thinking about what's going to work for you in terms of location, price, and ski goals. Luckily, the Wasatch has so many great options that you really can't go wrong.
