It's hard to compare to the massive amounts of snow that the 2022/2023 brought to the Wasatch, but, in looking at snow totals for this past season, the Wasatch did pretty well. Multiple resorts recorded more than 600 inches of snow throughout the season. That's more than 50 feet!

See season snow totals for resorts across the Wasatch (numbers taken from Ski Utah ).

    • Alta: 667 inches
    • Snowbird: 603 inches
    • Brighton: 607 inches
    • Deer Valley: 393 inches
    • Park City; 429 inches
    • Solitude: 574 inches
    • Sundance: 276 inches

It's pretty striking to me just how variable snowfall is across the Wasatch. The data certainly point to upper Little Cottonwood Canyon (Alta, Brighton, and Snowbird) as the area receiving the greatest snow totals. And Alta Ski Area seems to pretty consistently be in the running for greatest snow totals in the United States. But all of the Wasatch resorts do pretty well as far as snow totals.

I've only been in Utah for two seasons and am pretty stoked that we've gotten as much snow as we have the past couple of years. It's definitely made for some fun ski days and a lot of celebrating within the Utah ski community. Fingers crossed that next year delivers!
