Utah can get pretty dang hot in the summer. There are definitely days during the summer where I desperately miss the cold, snowy days of winter. So, I'm always looking for ways to beat the heat. Getting up high is an obvious and trusted method. The mountains stay cooler than the city so if you like hiking or walking or biking and can get up canyon, that's a good option for staying a little cooler. But you can't swim in the canyons as they are watershed areas, so if you want to cool off in the water that's not necessarily your best option.

This summer, though, Sundance will be offering fly fishing experiences and float tours along the Provo River. These are great options for the avid fisher or those who are looking for some more water-based recreation this summer. Located in close proximity to Sundance, the Provo River is great for both floating and fishing so you could make it a multi-sport day if you were really keen.

Sundance is offering a variety of different fly fishing clinics this summer, including a women's only clinic, group workshops, and offerings for different experience levels. Learn more and sign up here.
