If you're anything like me, then the changing of the seasons is always a little bittersweet. Sure, I'm enjoying warmer weather in Utah. I love eating dinner on my patio, biking to see friends around the city, wearing shorts, eating ice cream... summer is definitely not bad. But I also miss skiing, the coziness of winter, the joy of exploring the mountains on skis, and the pure fun of arcing ski turns.

I always like to take some time at the end of my ski season to look back on the past 6 months, noting highs and lows, seeing if what the season brought aligned with my goals, identifying what I learned, etc. If you're interested but don't know where to start, see some questions to prompt reflection below.

    • What was the highlight of your season?
    • What was the biggest challenge of your season?
    • Did you ski at any new places this year? If so, where?
    • Who was your most consistent ski partner?
    • What was your favorite piece of gear this winter?
    • What was the best ski snack you had? Best apres ski meal?
    • What was the biggest piece of learning from the last season?
    • What do you wish you'd done differently this past season?
    • Do you have any goals for next season (places you want to ski, days on skis, vertical feet skied, big trips, etc.)?
