A man convicted in a 1998 murder in Cherokee County, Alabama was executed by lethal injection Thursday evening at the William C. Holman Correctional Facility in Atmore, Ala. According to court records, Keith Edmund Gavin was convicted of murder in Illinois on June 9, 1982.
