We are having very cold mornings in Colorado due to the seasons changing.</p><p>I leave for work around four in the morning during the week and the shock of the cold air has certainly kept me on my toes.</p><p>I woke up to a reminder that cold weather is here to stay for the year because my tire pressure light was on. Many Coloradans have probably experienced this recently as well because of the weather.</p><h2>Reason Why This Happens in Colorado</h2><figure><img src="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?type=thumbnail_580x000&amp;url=2fRC2H_0wF4jzNd00" alt="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=2fRC2H_0wF4jzNd00" width="1600" height="1067" ><figcaption>Canva</figcaption></figure><p>According to <a href="https://www.lesschwab.com/article/car-maintenance/tpms-light-coming-on-in-cold-weather-heres-why.html#:~:text=How%20Does%20Cold%20Weather%20Affect,less%20space%20inside%20the%20tire.">Les Schwab</a>, your tire pressure can decrease about one pound per square inch every time the temperature goes down ten degrees.</p><p>So since we have been recently having warm afternoons and cold temperatures in the morning, your tire pressure in your vehicle may have dropped significantly.</p><p>Does it mean that you need to put air in your tire? Not necessarily. As the weather warms up during the day, the air typically returns to normal. However, if you are noticing that your tire pressure is still low throughout the day, it doesn't hurt to check and fill up your tire if needed.</p></div></body>
