Idaho State Police Corporal Travis Gurney Awarded Silver Star for Actions in High-Speed Pursuit
BOISE - Corporal Travis Gurney of the Idaho State Police was awarded the Silver Star today for his actions during a high-risk pursuit on January 4, 2024, in Power County. The pursuit began when the Power County Sheriff’s Office attempted to stop a suspect vehicle that collided with several other vehicles and then drove against traffic on Interstate 86. Law enforcement tried to stop the vehicle with a PIT (Precision Immobilization Technique) maneuver, but the suspect continued eastbound in the westbound lanes, creating a dangerous situation.

AMERICAN FALLS — Pursuant to Idaho Code § 34-1404 and 34-1405, notice is hereby given of the candidate filing deadline for the general election to be held on Nov. 5.
