Greg Abbott announces over $95 million in housing tax credits across Texas
TEMPLE, Texas — The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) has awarded more than $95 million in housing tax credits to help "finance the development or rehabilitation of more than 60 rental properties, offering reduced rents and increased housing options for Texans throughout the state," Governor Greg Abbott announced on Thursday, July 25.
After dismissed lawsuit, weed is still decriminalized in San Marcos — for now
A Hays County judge dismissed a lawsuit filed against the City of San Marcos in response to a proposition decriminalizing low-level marijuana possession. Judge Sherri Tibbe dropped Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s suit against San Marcos on Monday. Paxton has already filed a motion to appeal the dismissal, according to the city.
