Peaceful Prisons Project creates new mural in Crandon
CRANDON, Wis. (WJFW)- The Peaceful Prisons Project is a nonprofit organization that aims to help those who are affected by the prison system. “We’ve been starting a lot of programs throughout the country, creating resources for children who have loved ones who are incarcerated, we are creating a curriculum to help correctional officers during their training process and we have a backpack program which helps men and women who are re-entered into society after being incarcerated,” said Megan Knipe, the Director of Communications for the Peaceful Prisons Project.
