Typical Summertime Showers/Storms for the Valley Today
COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - As we round out the weekend, the forecast for today doesn’t change much from the conditions we saw yesterday. Temperatures this morning are in the mid-70s this morning and will warm up to the upper 80s to low 90s. More clouds than sun this morning but expect the cloud cover to increase later today as showers and storms begin to develop. Today won’t be a washout by any means, but don’t be shocked if you get a brief downpour from one of these storms. A line of storms tries to move through the area late tonight into early Monday morning, but the Valley will dry out before you head out the door tomorrow morning. Expect much of the same tomorrow in terms of the rain coverage and temperatures. The weather pattern begins to shift to a drier pattern starting Tuesday with coverage of rain the rest of next week anywhere between 10-30% on any given day. With the drier conditions on the horizon, the Valley can expect temperatures to warm back to the mid-90s by the middle of next week. Though the rain coverage is lower in the coming days, the air will stay very muggy, meaning feels like temps will be in the upper 90s to low 100s next week.
