Kit salon opens in Fort Thomas with commitment to community
Kit salon in Fort Thomas is named after Molly Hardin’s great grandmother, and her old styling tools are proudly displayed on the wall inside the shop. Hardin said owning a salon was a dream come true—though a dream she didn’t really know she had as a full-time interior designer and part-time hairstylist. Hardin is a Fort Thomas native who worked at the building’s former tenant, Salon on Highland. She has been licensed for 15 years, but this new venture is her first time owning a salon.

A Nostalgic Louisville Restaurant Will Close After One Final Weekend
Nostalgic Restaurant & Cocktail House announced on Instagram that they'll be closing their doors for good after this weekend. Serving up modern spins on childhood classics, Nostalgic opened its doors to Bardstown Road in February 2023. Their last day in business will be Sunday, July 28. Naive, their sister restaurant in Butchertown doesn't have any plans to close. Two Indicted For Making False Reports
Two Mercer County residents have been indicted on multiple counts of filing false reports over the past year. Dakota L. Milton, 21, and Anastasia M. Wellbaum, 23, both of 851 South College Street No. A12, Harrodsburg, were indicted by the Mercer County Grand Jury last week on multiple class D felony counts of filing false reports which generated an emergency response in 2024.
