Hiker experiences serious injuries after falling from rock hill in Winona
WINONA, Minn.-- A hiker is being treated for serious injuries after falling from a rock hill Sunday afternoon. The Winona Fire Department said in a Facebook post it was dispatched to Sugar Loaf Park at 2:42 p.m., where it was reported a hiker had fallen from the rock. The patient was located by firefighters, treated and brought down to an ambulance. WFD stated the Winona Area ambulance Service transported the patient with serious injuries to Winona Health. The Winona Police Department assisted at the scene.

Pocahontas Man Dies in Car vs Motorcycle Accident
A Pocahontas man died this weekend when a car collided with a motorcycle in Kossuth County. According to the Iowa State Patrol, the accident happened at approximately 1pm today (Sun) just east of Algona. A 17-year-old from Ackley was driving a compact car southbound on 160th Avenue. The teenager failed to yield to a stop sign and was struck by a motorcycle headed westbound on Highway 18. The motorcycle was driven by 42-year-old Adam Allen of Pocahontas.
